When growing indoors, the plant must grow within the confines of the grow lights.
If the light doesn't shine on the flower, it won't develop a fruit!
Micro Dwarf Tomatoes
You may have heard about "pot tomatoes," "kitchen tomatoes," or "micro-dwarf tomatoes" (Solanum lycopersicum). Because of their small size and how easily these plants can be grown in a small pot or a sunny windowsill, they are much loved by growers. I enjoy growing these tiny tomatoes inside my indoor Tower Garden Home! Here are my favorite kinds of micro-dwarf tomatoes and some growing tips and tricks!
Birdie Rouge Tomato (Micro Dwarf)
Rosie Fintch tomatoes are a micro-dwarf tomato that originated in the Netherlands. These fruits have a mild tomato flavor reminiscent of their larger relative, cherry tomatoes. These plants will grow from 8 to 12 inches and yield tomatoes from that transition from green to yellow to red once ripe.

Rosie Finch Tomatoes (Micro Dwarf)
Rosie Finch micro-dwarf tomatoes are a miniature version of heirloom tomatoes and produce beautiful pink fruits about 1 inch in size that look stunning in contrast to the plant's dark green leaves. Don't be deceived by their small size; these micro-dwarfs pack a punch of flavor!

Jochalos Tomato (Micro Dwarf)
Jochalos micro dwarf tomatoes originated in Bolivia and are perfect if you want a sunny addition to your garden. While the tomato plant stays small (around 4-8 inches), they are massive producers! The fruits grow in clusters and are a beautiful sunny yellow with a sweet and tangy flavor that is perfect for a snack, salad topping, or jam.

Orange Hat Tomato (Micro Dwarf)
Orange Hat micro dwarf tomatoes are also known as Oranzhevaja Shapochka in their native home of Russia. This plant is truly a micro variety, never reaching more than 1 foot in height. Regardless of this plant's micro size, they produce beautiful, sweet, orange tomatoes the size of a cherry.
