🌀 In the path? If you're in the path of the hurricane, move your Tower Garden to a safe place indoors. A covered porch, lanai, or garage are all good choices.
🌀 No space? Remove the plants and put them in your bathtub with an inch of water.
🌀 Strong winds? I like to use zip ties to tie the top down to the base using the pre-drilled holes. Fill the base with water to provide extra weight. Twenty gallons of water weighs 180 pounds!
🌀 Dolly: Don't let your dolly take your Tower Garden for a ride! To avoid your Tower Garden moving around, take the Tower Garden off the dolly, or secure the dolly with a rope.
🌀 Pre-hurricane: fill up a couple of buckets or containers with water to have on hand in case you lose water access after the hurricane. You can hand water from the top.
🌀 Post-hurricane: if you have a generator plug in your Tower Garden and run it a few minutes every hour. Unplug the timer, as it draws excess electricity, and is not necessary to use in this situation.
