Time for a Tower Garden Clean-Up!
Effective Cleaning Techniques for Tower Gardens
Soak your pots! Add 1-2 cups of citric acid & water to the basin or a kiddie pool and soak the pots and pump! Citric acid comes from fruits like lemons and oranges. Manufacturers commonly add it to food as a preservative, but it’s also a powerful cleaner, capable of disinfecting and breaking down grease and grime. It’s especially good at clearing mineral-based deposits on the Tower Garden. The longer you soak, the less work you have to do! I've been known to soak for several days. Usually out of pure laziness, but a long soak works better than a short soak!
Clean the crevices with a stiff bristled crevice tool. It really helps!
Spot clean with Dawn Power Wash. Spray it and let it sit for several minutes. Then scrub with a Magic Eraser or the crevice tool. Don't let the soap get in the water in the basin! A little bit won't hurt the plants, but a lot could kill them.
Wipe gently with a Magic Eraser. It really is magic!!
For a final clean, run the pots through the dishwasher on a no heat cycle!
